AV Asbestos undertakes work in the United Kingdom; where we have a comprehensive understanding of the working practices and regulations. However, we are happy to undertake specifically commissioned projects in other countries.

We are based near London in Reading, Berkshire, and have associated offices throughout the country. For our domestic clients we cover London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex and Wiltshire.

We use English as our business language.

I began my working life as an apprentice with the gas board moving up through the ranks of team leader to supervisor/manager and taking redundancy in 1998.

I then ran pubs for a couple of years before moving into demolition and asbestos.

I started work in the asbestos industry as a removal operative in 2000, quickly promoted through to Supervisor, Operations Manager and onto Director of an asbestos removal company.

Left to gain experience of different working practices within the industry and joined AV Asbestos as Operations Manager in 2011 carrying out surveys to all types of properties including schools, hospitals, factories, listed buildings, churches as well as all types of domestic property.

I took over upon the retirement of James Sykes and am now running Mark Clifford Surveys Ltd (Trading as AV Asbestos) and continuing to work with the many companies and friends I have gained over the years as well as promoting the company to achieve new business.

I work closely with licensed asbestos removal companies to provide a complete service from survey to completion, whether it be management of existing asbestos or removal for refurbishment or demolition.

2001 Assessed and approved to be Asbestos Removal Supervisor (ACAD).
2002 Assessed and approved to be Demolition Operative 3 (Topman) CCDS.
